Jawaahir (meaning “jewels” in Arabic) is one of only three professional Middle Eastern dance companies in the country, and has established a worldwide reputation for excellence. Cassandra and Jawaahir Dance Company’s diverse body of work – from folkdances presented in traditional costumes to contemporary Middle Eastern ballets – adorns the stage in performance that is at once entertaining, enlightening and engaging.

Girls’ Night ~~Out~~ IN poses the question: How have MTV and YouTube influenced the Arab world? The answer: More than you know! With the lush sounds of the world-class al Hareem Orchestra, Cassandra will reveal the treasures that lie behind the mashrabiya – the screens that isolate the women’s quarters.
