"To see one of his shows is to see beauty, humanity, and surprise; to be engaged, touched, and to leave the theater more fully yourself."

The Rake
Multi-award winning director and playmaker Jon Ferguson returns to the Southern Theater with a brutal new staging of George Orwell’s classic and ever-relevant novel
Animal Farm. Coinciding with the November presidential election, this intensely physical production cuts straight to the dark heart of Orwell’s political parable, exposing the sinister trappings of power as the animals of Manor Farm overthrow their human owners and set up a democratic commune in which, at first, all animals are equal.
Brought to you by a multidisciplinary ensemble of some of the Twin Cities’ most exciting theater artists, this explosive interpretation of one of the most important stories of our time challenges complacency and calls us all to action.
