Steampunk Dreams: Imaginary Technologies of the Victorian Era is a collection of new adapted work based on classics of 19th century fantasy and science fiction by writers such as Jules Verne and H. G. Wells. The Twin Cities theater luminaries Hardcover Theater, Joshua Scrimshaw and Upright Egg will present each production in authentic steampunk style: a world where wild-eyed inventors tinker with amazing machines; a world with a distinctive look that combines Victorian fashion with Victorian industrial design; a world of adventure, suspense, comedy and sometimes surprising delicacy. Special appearances by the steampunk band Bad September. Curated by Steve Schroer of Hardcover Theater.
