“Having seen Ferguson’s Super Monkey… I’m here to say this guy is a local treasure.” Star Tribune

A world premiere new work by award winning director and play maker Jon Ferguson and acclaimed playwright John Heimbuch, in collaboration with a trio of outstanding British actors and an ensemble featuring some of the Twin Cities’ most vibrant theater artists. The King is Dead is a fast-paced and farcical romp through Medieval England, following the story of three working class spear-carriers: Bardolph, Francis and Hughe, as they acquire temporary work in the royal court and accidentally embroil themselves in a deadly plot for the crown. Highly visual and physical, wonderfully comic and tragic, The King is Dead will transport you to a brutal, more romantic, yet equally stupid time.
