Statement
The focus and
challenge of my work as a dancer is to exist fully within the movement
I create and to share that with the audience in a way that touches
them. Movement is not just something that happens from the outside
in, but emerges from the energy that’s created when I am completely
immersed in the process. The idea of existing “in the moment”
is part of the thrill and challenge in dance, and one of the great
joys of live theater. As an audience member, I am moved by performers
who allow themselves to be vulnerable as human beings, who are completely
committed to taking a risk, no matter the result. I strive to do
this in my work.
