Megan Flood
has performed in a variety of dance events since moving
to the Twin Cities in 1991. She performed with Zenon Dance Company
for 13 years; she is also a founding member of Wynn Fricke’s
Borrowed Bones Dance Theater. Other performance highlights include
creating and dancing the role of Aino in Ruth MacKenzie’s
Kalevala, and dancing as a guest artist with Bill Young and Dancers.
Megan’s
current passions include contact improvisation and Body Mind Centering;
she is inspired by both of these forms while creating her own work,
which she often does in collaboration with guitarist Dean Magraw.
Megan
earned an undergraduate degree in dance from St. Olaf College. She
is currently a visiting instructor at Gustavus Adolphus College,
and the director of Zenon Dance School’s scholarship program.
