Imagine the story was never told quite right. Magic, real magic, was hidden under the guise of a dream. Imagine that dream hid an alternate world where all the things we reserve for special occasions - frivolity, decadence, fun, laughter, dance - were just the way of life. A world where happiness and whimsy reign, queens run the show, and dance is the currency of life.

And now imagine a Nutcracker with NO vermin... Here, whimsy and brilliant dancing collide in a fantastical production. In this abridged - and distinctly new - version of the holiday classic, Clara finds herself breaking the veil between her world, and a world where sugar, candy, fun and dance rule all else.

This version of The Nutcracker Sweet is perfect for audiences of all ages 1-100. Holiday nostalgia abounds with the famous Tchaikovsky score. Brilliant classical ballet guides us through this magical tale of Clara and her adventures. Pre-professional dancers join forces with professional guest artists to bring a superior caliber of dancing to the Twin Cities. And the whole story is told to you by our adorable resident Pollichinelle . . . She's witty and has a HUGE personality. And her heart of gold and irresistible charm will win you over! Join us, and experience the Nutcracker like never before!
